Spring Tennis Development

Armonk Tennis Club's five-week spring tennis clinics bridge the gap between our winter tennis programs and children summer camps. See below for program descriptions, or contact Doug Sherman at tennisdirector@armonktennis.com for more information.

Pee-Wee Tennis

For ages 3½-5. The program is designed to introduce preschoolers to tennis and begin work on motor skills. Classes meet once a week for 30 minutes.

 

Tennis Tots

For ages 5-7. The main objective is to teach basic athletic and tennis skills, including stroke development and footwork. Classes meet once a week for 1 hour.

 

Tennis Champs

For ages 8-10. This program will give young players the tennis knowledge and mechanics to help them go further competitively or recreationally. Classes meet once a week for 1 hour.

 

Tennis Challenger

For ages 11 and up. A disciplined games-based approach will be used to coach the players. Classes meet once a week for 1½ hours.

 

Tennis Team

For advanced players ages 11 and up. Extensive drilling and situational point play will teach players how to compete in tournaments. Classes meet twice a week for 1½ hours.
