Winter Tennis Development

Armonk Tennis Club offers the "Pathway To Excel" for children of all ages and skill levels. Our 30-week Winter Tennis programs are designed to provide players with the most enjoyable experience, as well as the greatest opportunity to reach their full potential. Pee-Wee Tennis

For ages 3½-5. The program is designed to introduce preschoolers to tennis and begin work on motor skills. Classes meet once a week for 30 minutes.

Time

Monday-Friday: 2:00-2:30 p.m., 2:30-3:00 p.m., 3:00-3:30 p.m.

Tennis Tots

For ages 6-7. The main objective is to teach basic athletic and tennis skills, including stroke development and footwork. Classes meet once a week for 1 hour.

Monday-Friday: 3:30-4:30 p.m.

Tennis Champs

For ages 8-10. This program will give young players the tennis knowledge and mechanics to help them go further competitively or recreationally. Classes meet once a week for 1 hour.

Monday-Friday: 3:30-4:30 p.m., 4:30-5:30 p.m.

Tennis Challenger

For ages 11 and up. A disciplined games-based approach will be used to coach the players. Classes meet once a week for 1½ hours, with weekly match play.

Time

Monday-Friday: 4:30-6:00 p.m.
Friday: 6:30-9:00 p.m. (match play)

Tennis Team

For advanced players ages 11 and up. Extensive drilling and situational point play will teach players how to compete in tennis tournaments. Classes meet twice a week for 1½ hours, with weekly match play.

Time

Monday/Wednesday: 4:30-6:00 p.m., 7:00-8:30 p.m.
Tuesday/Thursday: 6:00-7:30 p.m.
Sunday: 5:00-6:30 p.m. (match play)
