AITA’s youngest players took the local 10 and Under Tennis world by storm this past weekend.

Five players competed in the L3 UPS Orange Ball Tournament at Hardscrabble Club in Brewster, and they all finished in the top three (the tournament was divided into two round-robin groups):

1st: Will Teitelbaum | 2nd: Alex Lewis | 3rd: Jaden Zipper
1st: Tyler Zipper | 3rd: Chase Tabankin

In addition to the outstanding results, the players also showed great camaraderie, as they cheered for each other and provided advice when playing common opponents.

Meanwhile, Charlie Martin played the Orange Level 2 Tournament at Sportime Harbor Island in Mamaroneck. He won three matches before losing in the quarterfinals to the eventual tournament champion.

Finally, on Sunday we sent seven players ages seven and eight to Lifetime Fitness in Harrison to compete in a red ball interclub scrimmage. This was the first competitive experience away from ATC for most of the group, and they all had a fun and successful outing. They showed an impressive ability to bring the skills they’re learning in group training to the match environment, as well as to minimize unforced errors and keep their opponents on the move. Congratulations to the following players on a job well done:

Dario Cobos, Izzie Cooper, Owen Geyman, Parker Kravitz, Sydney Schaevitz, Nate Schweitzer, and Nate Zipper
